We have seen the Creek conditions continue to improve over the last week. The flows continue to drop and the water clarity is very good, almost a bit to good. I would suggest lightening up your tippet selection or consider going to Fluorocarbon, worked great for us yesterday. The smaller flies on our rigs were producing better then the bigger ones. I have not seen the large brown stone hatches I had seen last week, but the fish were willing to go after an imitation. Still strong Midge hatches with some Baetis here and there. Even saw a larger mayfly in the distance pop. After flipping a rock, I understood, why the fish were eating nymphs so aggressively, I suggest you do the same. Remember to fish the shallow water too, and adjust your rig as needed. After nymphing out a stretch, I was surprised by the amount of fish moved in the same stretch when re-fished with a sizable streamer.
